Todua Vs. Treya WBF Interim Middleweight Title Fight
On May 2 in Tbilisi, Georgia, World Boxing Federation (WBF) interim world Middleweight champion Givi Todua will put his title on the line against Elmo Treya from the Philippines.
Todua, 6-0 (4), won the title last September when he stopped Thailand´s Phumiritdet Chonlathondamrongkhun in six rounds.
Still only 21 years old, the Georgian hero will take on his best opponent to date in Treya, who brings a 16-6 (11) record and is a former Asian Boxing Federation champion.
Having boxed all over the world in an accomplished amateur career, Todua turned professional in the summer of 2024 and is well on his way to establishing himself as the main boxing star in his country.
Treya, although still only 31 years of age, is a veteran with thirteen years of pro experience, and will not be fazed by going into his opponent’s back yard.
