Arena Boxing Presents International Fight Night at Arkin Iskele Hotel – May 19

Arena Boxing, led by promoter Ahmet Öner, proudly announces a high-level international boxing event scheduled for May 19, 2026, at the Arkin Iskele Hotel in North Cyprus. At the center of the night stands a true heavyweight clash of giants. Olympic heavyweight Mourad Aliev (14-1, 11 KOs), currently ranked #26 by the WBC, will face Nigerian powerhouse Raphael Akpejiori (19-2, 18 KOs), the current #16 in the WBC rankings, for the WBC International Silver Championship. Both fighters stand well over two meters tall, bringing a rare physical presence into the ring—a matchup of two giants, where only one can prevail. Rising Albanian prospect Luis Vela (6-0, 5 KOs) will compete for the WBC International Championship at super lightweight against Germany’s Oussama Kebdani (10-1, 3 KOs).

In the super featherweight division, Muhamet Qamili (17-1-1, 8 KOs) faces Alessangel Mayora (18-1, 14 KOs) for the WBC International Silver Championship. Bosnian heavyweight Ahmed Krnjic (7-1, 4 KOs), a finalist of the WBC Grand Prix, will take on Metin Turunc (14-1, 13 KOs) for the WBC Mediterranean Championship. Undefeated Turkish heavyweight Umut Camkiran (25-0, 23 KOs) meets experienced contender Damir Beljo (29-2, 23 KOs).

The card is further supported by Croatian Olympic heavyweight Luka Pratljacic (1-0, 1 KO), as well as additional bouts including Baran Celik vs. Eldar Babayev and Konstantinos Plateias vs. Yonny Molina. Adding experience and legacy to the night, Avni Yildirim (28-5, 17 KOs) returns to the ring. A seasoned veteran who has competed at the highest level, including major fights against Canelo
Alvarez, Chris Eubank Jr., and Anthony Dirrell, he has earned his respect through years of tough battles.

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman is expected to attend the event, marking a significant moment for the promotion and the region. Following the event, he is scheduled to travel onward to Egypt for
a major world championship fight staged in front of the Pyramids of Giza in Cairo. The event is promoted by Arena Boxing under Ahmet Öner, with local organization managed by MFA, led by Burak Mataraci.
