Capetillo Issues Warning: “This Isn’t for Everyone”
By Hesiquio Balderas
Dylan “La Amenaza” Capetillo isn’t trying to blend in — he’s drawing a line.
“This isn’t for everyone.”
The rising prospect is making it clear that boxing, at the highest level, isn’t about hype or attention.
“It’s not about the belt,” Capetillo says. “It’s about everything you go through to get there.”
No shortcuts. No easy road.
“You’ve got to wake up when you don’t want to. Train when your body is done. Stay locked in when nobody’s watching.”
In an era where many fighters chase visibility, Capetillo is embracing the opposite.
“This sport breaks people,” he adds. “If you’re not built for it, it’s going to expose you.”
The message is simple — and direct.
“Anybody can say they want to be a champion. Not everybody can live like one.”
Still climbing the ranks, Capetillo isn’t asking for attention.
“I’m not here to talk,” he says. “I’m here to prove it.”
If that mindset carries into the ring, “La Amenaza” may soon be more than just a name to watch — he could become a real threat.
