Teiken Promotions presents a deluxe show featuring hot encounters of Japanese and Mexican warriors tomorrow (Saturday) in Tokyo, Japan. The cards and weigh-in results are as follows:

WBC bantamweight eliminator (12 rounds)

#2 Tenshin Nasukawa (Japan) 118

vs. #1 Juan Fracisco Estrada (Mexico) 117.5

Super flyweight bout (10 rounds)

WBC#1 Tomoya Tsuboi (Japan) 114.5

vs. WBC#4 Pedro Guevara (Mexico) 114.5

Bantamweight bout (10 rounds)

WBC#12 Katsuma Akitsugi (Japan) 117.5

vs. WBC#18 Jose Calderon (Mexico) 117.5

The semi-final event, former WBA 108-pound champ Kyosuke Takami (Japan) and ex-IBF flyweight titlist Angel Ayala (Mexico) has been abruptly cancelled since Takami was unable to attend the weigh-in ceremony because of sudden sickness. He was reportedly hospitalized this morning. We wish this 24-year-old prospect’s recovery since he is highly expected to be a multi-division champion in the future.

Among knowledgeable experts and ringsiders the opinions on the outcome of Estrada-Nasukawa are quite split. Some believe the more experienced Mexican will be more advantageous with his speed and skills, while others pick up the ex-kick boxer star Tenshin as a favorite with his youth and physical power. Time will tell.

This show will be presented by Akihiko Honda’s Teiken Promotions.

Fight venue: Ryogoku Sumo Arena (Kokugikan)
