AGON Sports Brings A Big Boxing Night To Mallorca
It’s official: Ticket sales have begun for the first AGON Sports event in Mallorca. On May 1, the historic Pueblo Español in the heart of Palma will be transformed into a spectacular stage for international professional boxing, and fans and tourists can now secure their seats for this special event.
The evening’s highlights are two high-profile WBA title fights. Top Spanish contender Samuel Carmona (13-1-0) will face the experienced Venezuelan Rodrigo Ramirez (21-2-2) in the flyweight division. For Carmona, it will be a true home fight, where he aims to take the next step towards the top of the world rankings in front of his home crowd.
In the heavyweight division, the “Cuban Hulk” Carlos Castillo Rodriguez (10-0-0, 6 KOs) will step into the ring for his next big test. He will fight against Argentinian Jonathan Exequiel Vergara (9-3-0, 5 KOs) for the WBA Fedelatin title and aims to further extend his perfect record.
AGON Sports deliberately chose Pueblo Español as an exceptional location that combines Mediterranean flair with sporting excitement. Additionally, the event is taking place as part of this year’s convention of the German Professional Boxing Association (BDB), thus receiving special attention within the boxing community.
Promoter Ingo Volckmann is eagerly anticipating the fight night: “We’ve wanted to hold an event in Mallorca for a long time – now is the perfect time. Pueblo Español offers a unique setting, and we have two strong title fights planned as well as an exciting undercard. The spectators can look forward to a very special evening.”
The event is aimed not only at die-hard boxing fans, but also deliberately at tourists and locals seeking an extraordinary live experience. Sport, emotion, and Mediterranean ambiance merge into an event night that goes far beyond a classic boxing evening.
Further undercard fights will be announced shortly. Tickets are available now at https://www.entradas.com/en/artist/mallorca-fight-night/ .
