Indonesia Update – Rabowo Captures WBC Asia Cruiser Belt

WBC Asia#13 Cruiser Rabowo Surya (7-1, 5KOs) won a unanimous decision over WBC Asia#12/ Thai Cruiser Champion Aniwat Ngonsai (12-12-2, 11KOs), capturing the vacant WBC Asia Silver Cruiserweight title on March 28 at Atlas Beach Club in Bali island, Indonesia.
Rabowo achieved an impressive victory, knocking the Thai champion down for an 8-count in the second round. He then employed a counter attack style, preventing the Thai fighter from closing the distance. After eight rounds, he won by unanimous decision with scores of 80-71, 79-72, and 79-72.
In others action, WBC Asia Silver 122lb champion Nicky Dura (6-0, 4 KOs) got an impressive victory when he floored Sujaritchon Surampai (8-3-1, 7KOs) twice, forcing the referee to stop the fight at 2:52 of 1st round.
Satria Sandika (7-4-1, 7KOs) stopped Naruekamol Sirasuradet (4-3-1, 2KOs) in round 2 of an eight-round non-title fight. Satria is scheduled to fight for WBC Asia Continental 130lb title on July 4 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
