Dirty Boxing Championship Virtual Press Conference

MMA Superstar MMA Superstar and DBX Co-Founder Mike “Platinum” Perry, along with heavyweight titans Michael Garcia and Rob “The Wolf” Perez, plus DBX CEO Malki Kawa, held a virtual press conference Tuesday to preview the jam-packed Dirty Boxing Championship 6 (DBX6) event taking place Friday, April 10 from the James L Knight Center in Miami, Florida and streaming live and for free on the Dirty Boxing Championship YouTube Channel.

On top of the explosive Interim Heavyweight Title showdown between Garcia and “The Wolf” in the main event, the main card lineup also includes the return of standout Montavious Ware taking on veteran Luis Saldana in the co-main event between fighters sporting 1-0 DBX records.

Plus, all-action Miami fan-favorite Bryan “El Gallo” Duran will make his DBX debut and rising 6’7” star Tibaba Progress faces 6’6” boxing veteran Blake LaCaze, while 2-0 DBX competitor Milos “The Cobra” Janicic looks to keep his perfect record intact opening the main card.

All that, plus additional explosive undercard matchups, will stream live and for free beginning at 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT.

MICHAEL GARCIA

“This fight being made was just a matter of time. I’m ready to shut this dumb ass up on April 10.

“I’m not worried about his trash talk. He’s just funny. People wanna see him because he’s a clown who gets beat up.

“Before I got the call for this fight, I’ve been working on anything that was lacking. My boxing is the most important thing. I’m gonna show this fool that I’m no gumby. I’m gonna tear him up.

“I’m ready for the fight like always. I never care about opponents, but this guy…I want the doctor to stop this fight. I’m gonna put 13, 14, 15 elbows on him, maybe more.

“I come from a Muay Thai background, so it’s a lot different here because I have to use my boxing to set up my elbows, which I’m great at. I think Muay Thai and Dirty Boxing go hand in hand. You have to know how to move around the ring. You need to have that boxing.

“This is our last hard week right now. So fight week still feels a long way off. We’re not letting up at all. It’s about consistency and a lot of rounds in the boxing ring.

“I’ve always been underestimated. They book me to lose, and I end up winning. Like always. He can say what he wants, but that’s not what’s gonna happen. I already know it.”

ROB “THE WOLF” PEREZ

“This is just another day in the office for me. It just had to happen. They needed someone to step in, and this guy is the next victim.

“I’m 200% ready. The last one who tried with me got put on a stretcher, and that’s what I’m gonna do to you.

“I’m here to entertain. People are coming out to see ‘The Wolf’. Go ahead and underestimate me. Because when I hit you, you’re gonna regret it.

“You could see his flaws in his last fight. I’ve been doing this a long time and went pro four years ago. I’m ready for him.

“’The Wolf’ is Dirty Boxing and Dirty Boxing is ‘The Wolf’. I don’t care what he says. I’m here to give the people what they want. I don’t even care about the belt, I just want to shut him up.

“I talk the talk and I walk the walk. They thought I couldn’t back it up last time, and I don’t see why this is gonna be any different.

“Anybody that knows me, knows that I’ve been like this since day one.

“You’re gonna realize in the first round that you’re in for something you’re not ready for.”

MIKE PERRY, MMA Superstar and DBX Co-Founder

“DBX6 is gonna be incredible. There are some big time matchups on here. People are hungry to see ‘The Wolf’ return. People say he fights like Mike Perry, so you know what to expect.

“This is where combat sports are right now. We’ve created something truly special with Dirty Boxing. I’m still looking forward to one day getting in the DBX ring and using these rules to my favor.

“This is a great banner to fight under. It’s just a matter of time until I end up fighting in Dirty Boxing. Until then, I’m gonna get a warm up by watching Garcia and ‘The Wolf’ go for it.

“Come out to the beach then come out and see the fights. When these guys give you the real talk, you know they’re fighting their hearts out in the ring. If people see that, then Dirty Boxing will continue to grow.

“I’m so grateful for all these warriors that go in there and put everything on the line. There’s so much build up before they get to face each other, but they’re born for this. I’m very excited for all of these very intense matchups.

“We’re giving everyone the perfect middle ground with Dirty Boxing. This is where boxing and MMA fighters can meet with vested rules.”

“This is gonna be our best event by far. You can’t ask for a better combination of fighters in our main event. We’ve got a huge undercard from the beginning to the end. I can’t wait for April 10.
