Hall of Fame boxing writer and international matchmaker Joe Koizumi, Japan, has celebrated his seventy-ninth birthday today (March 31). He is still working in boxing and enjoys writing Chinese calligraphy as a hobby, sometimes holding a solo exhibition at galleries in Tokyo. Joe recently visited Xi’An, China, the ancient mecca of Chinese calligraphy, and called at Wang Fei’s Top King gym, where he demonstrated shadow boxing to prove he can still stick and move faster than Chinese boxers.
