WBA#9 Katsuki Mori (14-4-1, 3 KOs), 104.75, barely retained his Japanese national minimumweight belt as he was held to a majority draw (95-95 twice, 98-92 for the champ) with JBC#1 Masatora Okada (10-6-1, 4 KOs), 105, over ten fast rounds on Tuesday in Tokyo, Japan. Though leading on points after the fifth on open scoring system—48-47 twice, 49-46 for Mori—the champ gamely but wrongly changed his strategy in stopping his trademark footwork to mix it up with the muscular southpaw, who occasionally overpowered Mori in the close quarter. Okada deserves a rematch with the belt on the line.

Promoter: Ohashi Promotions.
