Ugandan ex-Olympian residing in Nagoya, David Ssemujju (9-1-1, 5 KOs), 145.5, barely retained his WBO AP and Japanese welterweight belts as he had a very tough time and battled to a grueling majority draw (95-95 twice, 97-93 for the challenger) with JBC#1 unbeaten Masayuki Urashima (6-0-2, 2 KOs), 146.75, over ten close rounds on Tuesday in Tokyo, Japan. The shorter challenger showed good precision in catching the Ugandan in the first six rounds. David, however, showed his last surge in order to keep his belt. This reporter had Urashima leading with 96-94. He logically deserves a rematch.
