559 Fights 123 Hops Into Spring On April 4th
The Central Valley’s premier developmental mixed martial arts promotion, 559 Fights, returns with another electrifying night of action as 559 Fights 123: “Next Gen #2” takes place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Visalia Convention Center.
Known for showcasing the region’s rising talent and producing future professional MMA stars, 559 Fights continues its mission of building the next generation of fighters with a card stacked with high-level amateur competition and two highly anticipated state championship matchups.
Headlining the evening is the first of two major rematches, as the 559 Fights & CAMO State Featherweight Championship will be on the line when Fresno’s Erique Arroyo (4-2) faces Bakersfield’s German Taboada (4-2) in one of the most anticipated rematches in promotional history.
Their first encounter was nothing short of unforgettable, earning Fight of the Year honors for the 559 Fights 2025 calendar year. With both athletes returning more experienced and determined, the championship clash promises another thrilling chapter in their rivalry.
“Arroyo vs. Taboada was one of the best fights in 559 Fights’ history—exciting and fast-paced from bell to bell,” said Jeremy Luchau, CEO of 559 Fights. “Fans witnessed something special the first time, and the rematch has all the ingredients to be just as explosive.”
In the co-main event, the 559 Fights & CAMO State Bantamweight Championship will also be up for grabs when Bakersfield’s undefeated Noah Ozuna (4-0) meets Selma’s Luis Ramos (5-2) for the second time in their amateur careers.
Their first bout was a razor-close contest that left fans debating the outcome long after the final bell. Nearly a year later, both prospects return significantly improved, with their eyes set not only on the championship but also on taking the next step toward professional MMA.
“The first fight between Ozuna and Ramos was incredibly competitive and could have gone either way,” Luchau said. “Since then, both fighters have grown tremendously and are preparing to make the jump to the professional ranks. This rematch should showcase just how far they’ve come.”
The featured bout of the evening will see the 559 Fights Super Lightweight Championship on the line as Coalinga’s Israel Aldama (3-1) squares off against Fresno’s Rick Ugalde (3-0).
Both fighters earned impressive victories in February and now look to build on that momentum in what promises to be a high-stakes clash between two surging prospects on the brink of major opportunities in the sport.
Beyond the championship bouts, 559 Fights 123 will feature a stacked lineup of amateur contests showcasing the best up-and-coming talent from across the Central Valley and throughout California. Known as a proving ground for fighters looking to make their mark in the sport, 559 Fights continues to deliver unforgettable nights of action for MMA fans while helping develop the region’s next wave of professional athletes.
