Frank Sanchez Injured- Torrez Fight Postponed

It appears that the IBF heavyweight title eliminator between #3-rated Cuban Frank Sanchez and #4-rated U.S. Olympian Richard Torrez, Jr. has been postponed. Sanchez has had an inflammatory flare-up of his right knee. which had been surgically repaired back in June of 2024, after suffering his lone loss to current WBC Interim heavyweight champion Agit Kabayel in their May 18, 2024 bout. Sanchez has fought just once since then- scoring a third round TKO over Ramon Olivas Echeverria in Tijuana, Mexico on February 22, 2025.
A late Spring/early Summer date is being considered for the rescheduling.
