“Tank” Davis & “Pitbull” Cruz In Negotiations

Former foes Gervonta “Tank” Davis and Isaac “Pitbull” Cruz are in negotiations for a summer rematch of their December 2021 war, won by Davis in a close affair.

Davis was a two-week fugitive at the beginning of this year, finally being apprehended on January 28 by U.S. Marshals in Miami Gardens on charges of battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping.

Davis was free the next morning after posting a reported $8,000 bond. He has pending court hearings scheduled for May 18 and August 12 this year. He is under GPS monitoring and has a no-contact order in place with his accuser.

Davis is currently the WBA lightweight champion-in-recess. The proposed matchup will take place at 140 lbs.
