Kristinsson Vs Milenkovic April 10 – Professional Boxing Back In Reykjavik

A professional boxing event in Iceland is in the works; on April 10, undefeated heavyweight Gunnar Kolbeinn Kristinsson (19-0) will fight Austrian Sasa Milenkovic (12-1) over twelve rounds in a title fight at Gamla Bíó in Reykjavik.

Professional boxing, however, is still prohibited in Iceland, but the event promoters feel the law is outdated and the show will go ahead as planned.
Boxing as a whole was prohibited for many years in Iceland, but Olympic boxing (also known as amateur boxing) has been allowed for several years.
The event in Reykjavik will feature a full undercard, which is yet to be announced.

Outside of Kolbeinn, there is another professional in Iceland, Valgerdur Gudsteinsdottir (7-8). Both fight with a Swedish license, but it has not yet been finalized who will supervise the April 10 show.
