Primetime Boxing Moves Show To May 16; Oliver Zaren Injured

Danish Primetime Promotions has moved the May 2 show until May 16 but the site remains the Brondby Hall on the outskirts of Copenhagen.

Headlining the event is featherweight Ahmad “The Teacher” El Ahmad (11-0) in a title fight of some kind against an opponent to be announced. As for the nickname, El Ahmad is a teacher by trade.

Also on the bill are heavyweights Gustav Thorsen (7-0) and Thorbjorn Boudigaard (8-3-0), super middle Abdul Khattab (20-4-1), super lightweight Elias Faour (6-0) and flyweight Sofie Vinther Rosshaug (4-0).

It was first planned that super middle Oliver Zaren (19-0) would headline this show but he just had surgery to repair a damaged nose and will not be ready in time to fight May 16.

Zaren remains as official challenger for the vacant EBU title (along with Spaniard Jose Luis Navarro Jr) where there are purse bids March 3.
