“Medallita” Jiménez Vs Sano On April 19 In Kyrgyzstan For WBA Championship

Costa Rican hero and world champion David “Medallita” Jiménez (18-1, 12 KOs), 33, will defend his WBA interim super flyweight world title against undefeated Japanese prospect and challenger Ayumo Sano (11-0-1, 5 KOs), 22, on April 19 at the Gazprom Sports Complex in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, in an event organized by Saikou Lush.

Sano is the WBA Asian Champion and has been sparring with former Mexican world champion Pedro Guevara for the past month.

Jiménez has been training since December and has said that he has done more than 100 sparring rounds and that he feels motivated and confident for a good victory against Sano and that they do not rule out that he may train for a few days in Mexico.
