Kem Ljungquist Official Challenger For The EBU Heavyweight Title

Danish heavyweight Kem Ljungquist (21-1) has been appointed official challenger for the EBU heavyweight title, currently held by German Labinot Xhoxhaj (22-0-1).
The parties involved now have a period for private negotiations before the EBU calls for purse bids.
Ljungquist won both the EBU Silver title, now vacant, and the WBA Baltic title during 2025.
Xhoxhaj won the EBU title 2024 and has since defended it twice, looking better and better with each fight.
As for the EBU Silver title, French champ Mattar Garcia will fight the highest ranked available challenger for the vacant title.
