+180 ‘Dog’ Bilal Fawaz, 37, came back from a horrible start, to take the rounds down the home stretch, winning the British and Commonwealth super welterweight titles from defending champ Ishmail Davis. Fawaz picked up his work rate and Davis appeared to tire, unable to adjust to Fawaz’ style. The scores were 114-114, 115-113 and 115-114 for Fawaz by majority decision. Fawaz improves to 11-1-1, 3 KOs while Davis falls to 15-4, 6 KOs, losing his titles in his first defense.
