‘Rhode Wars 5’ Fight Week Presser
Fight week officially begins on Tuesday as CES Boxing brings the heat to Bella Vista Restaurant with the final press conference for Rhode Wars 5, giving fans and media a front-row look at New England’s next wave of boxing stars just days before they take center stage.
The public, free-to-attend press conference takes place Tuesday, February 24 at 3pm EST, offering a rare chance to meet the fighters, capture soundbites, and feel the electricity of fight week as anticipation builds toward Saturday night.

In attendance will be unbeaten Providence middleweight Lamont Powell, lightweight phenom Gianni Liguori, former CES MMA fighter and Providence police officer Thomas Evans, and Irish sensation Cian Duggan.
Rhode Wars 5 is a special night of entertainment featuring New England’s best young fighters, music, and comedy, held in loving memory of lifelong boxing fan and Federal Hill native Nicky Cardillo, who passed away unexpectedly at age 58, leaving behind his beloved daughter Anjali.
“Nicky had a heart for boxing and an even bigger heart for people,” said CES Boxing Founder Jimmy Burchfield Sr. “He loved this sport, he loved Rhode Island, and he loved supporting young fighters. Rhode Wars 5 is our way of saying thank you to a great person — and making sure his daughter Anjali knows this community has her back.”
Rhode Wars 5 takes place Saturday, February 28 at the historic Historic Park Theater in Cranston, Rhode Island.
