Boxing Returns To Gomez Palacio, Durango After 10 Years

Mexican boxer Gohan Rodríguez (19-4-1, 3 KOs), age 25, will face the experienced Nicaraguan former world champion Cristofer Rosales (38-7, 23 KOs), age 31 , on March 21st at an international boxing event at the Palenque of the Expo Feria in Gómez Palacio for the WBC international super flyweight championship.
The same event will feature Javid Ramírez ‘Gallo Giro’ vs. Aaron de la Cruz, and the WBA interim world championship bout between Estefany Alegría and Paola Alanís.
This international boxing event is part of the “Boxing for Peace” program, a project for children and youth recently launched by the Mexican government.
It has been nearly 10 years since a world championship event was held in Gomez Palacio, Durango.
