Zuffa Boxing’s Z04 show will feature Jai Opetaia defending his IBF/Ring magazine cruiserweight titles against rugged American Brandon Glanton at the Meta Apex on March 8th. It will be Opetaia’s 7th defense, but also marks the bestowing of the inaugural Zuffa cruiserweight belt. Glanton will be getting his first crack at a major cruiserweight title.
It looks like WBO champion Fabio Wardley will make the first defense of his titles against former IBF champion Daniel Dubois on May 9th in Manchester. The all British clash will surely pack the venue in which it lands. The details are close to being finalized.
Errol Spence Jr. and Tim Tszyu are reportedly finalizing a deal for a major showdown in Australia, targeted for June 2026, likely on June 6 or 13, to headline a PBC on Prime Video pay-per-view. This 154-pound bout marks a high-stakes return for both fighters. Tszyu last fought in December in a 10 round decision over previously undefeated (18-0-1) Anthony Velazquez while Spence hasn’t fought since July of 2023 in his TKO9 loss to Terence Crawford for the undisputed welterweight titles. It will be nearly three years by the projected fight time.
The guest list for the International Boxing Hall of Fame includes: Marco Antonio Barrera, Mikey Garcia, Michael Spinks, Christy Martin, Mickey Ward, Erik Morales, Tim Bradley, Ronald “Winky” Wright, Jim Lampley, Kelly Pavlik, Vinny Paz, Jesse Jame Leija and Jorge Linares.
