Three New WBF Champions Crowned In Bad Hersfeld, Germany

0 1

On Saturday, February 7, in front of a capacity crowd at the Schilde-Halle in Bad Hersfeld, Germany, three new World Boxing Federation (WBF) champions were crowned.

In a regular shoot-out, Kazakhstani hot-shot Viktor “The Butcher” Temirov won the vacant WBF world Middleweight title when he stopped courageous German Dominik Arnold in the fifth round.

Temirov, who improved his record to 10-0 (7), had too much for Arnold (now 5-1), who did all he could and it was exciting for as long as it lasted.

German Yusuf Duskun over-powered fellow undefeated Jhon Brazon to capture the vacant WBF Intercontinental Super Welterweight title.

Duskun, 14-0 (11), dropped Brazon twice in round two, ending the fight with a vicious body-shot which left the Venezuelan, who dropped to 6-1 (4), on the canvas for almost two minutes before he was able to stand.

In the main event, former world Cruiserweight champion Artur “Thunderman” Mann became a two-weight WBF world champion when he captured the vacant Bridgerweight title.

Mann had no trouble destroying Venezuela´s Gregory Garcia in the first round, taking his record to 23-5 (14). Garcia drops to 12-4-1 (10).
