Polish Great Marian Kasprzyk Passes

Marian Kasprzyk from Poland has passed away at the age of 86.
Kasprzyk won a bronze medal in the 1960 Olympics in Rome, gold in the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo and lost in the first round in the 1968 Olympics in Mexico City.
In Rome Kasprzyk beat USSR boxer Vladimir Jengibarian at light welterweight in the quarter final but had to withdraw from the tournament due to an injury.
Four years later Kasprzyk, now a welterweight, went all the way, winning a gold medal despite fighting with a broken thumb.
In Mexico City Kasprzyk lost to future world champion in the pros Armando Muniz.
