Visa Woes & Ring Bans Force Late Shifts In Danish Boxing Lineup

0 2

There’s been a late change of opponents for Danish super middle Oliver Zaren (18-0) and Swedish light heavy Costas Nanga (13-0) ahead of Saturday’s show in Kolding (Denmark).

Zaren will now face Argentinian David Benitez (13-10) who steps in for Mikalai Vesialou, who was unable to get a visa to leave Belarus. Vesialou is a southpaw and Benitez isn´t so the Oliver must make some adjustments but reported this past Saturday when training in Malmo, Sweden, that he was in the best shape of his life and looked very sharp when sparring with Ajet Jusufi (3-0).

Nanga was first to face German Alpay Yaman, who got himself knocked out and suspended. He was replaced by Issam Faiz but he is now also off the bill and in comes Slovakian veteran Vladimir Belujski (18-11-1).

Both fights are scheduled for eight.

The show is topped by local hero Jacob Bank (17-0) defending the WBO Global super middleweight title against Cuban William Scull (23-1)
