Cabrera-Zapata Kicks Off All Star Boxing’s 2026 Season
Tuto Zabala Jr. of All Star Boxing held a media round table in the capital city of Nicaragua to confirm his highly anticipated show set for March 6th from the Olof Plame Convention Center. The headlining bout billed “Now or Never” is an exciting crossroads match between world ranked WBO #14, WBA #15 Julio Cabrera (10-2-1 2 KO’s) of Chontales, against former world title challenger Gerardo “Cascabel” Zapata (15-3-1 5 KO’s) of Masaya. The pair will battle it out over 10 rounds for local supremacy. The always entertaining WBO Latin Jr. Flyweight champion Eveling “Colocha” Ortega of Acoyapa will continue her tradition of appearing on the International Women’s Day weekend as she risks her WBO #1 ranking in a stay busy fight over 8 rounds. Her promoter insists she is ready for big challenges as a world title fight is on the horizon. “2026 will be the year Colocha goes for her first world title attempt on home turf, the time is now,” stated President Tuto Zabala Jr.” We have a great show March 6th that also includes our new signee Ricardo Blandon and many more announcements in the coming weeks. The power punching Super Featherweight Ricardo “Big Bang” Blandon joins his brother, undefeated bantamweight prospect Bryan Blandon as All Star Boxing stablemates. The Blandon brothers will see action in different bouts along with 7 total matches to round off the card. Tickets go on sale Friday at Ticketerani.com
