Azim & Lemos Both Injured- Bout Postponed
The fight between Adam Azim and Gustavo Lemos, scheduled for January 31 in London, has been postponed due to both fighters sustaining hand injuries during their respective training camps.
The circumstances unfolded in two parts:
1. Gustavo Lemos first suffered a hand injury, forcing him to withdraw from the initial booking.
2. Promoters secured a replacement opponent (reportedly Nahir Albright), but then Adam Azim himself suffered a hand injury in his final sparring session, leading to the cancellation of the event with neither original main event fighter available.
The fight, an IBF junior welterweight eliminator, will be rescheduled for a later date in 2026, and updates regarding the event will be announced by the promoters, Boxxer.
The entire boxing event scheduled for January 31 at the Copper Box Arena in London has been postponed. The main event, along with the entire card, is off for the scheduled date.
Sources have indicated that promoters might attempt to run a separate show with the undercard bouts headlining, but as of now, the original event is entirely postponed. An official statement from Boxxer confirmed that further updates regarding the event will be announced shortly.
