Zuffa Boxing Z02: February 1st At The Meta Apex In Las Vegas
Just a little over a week after their first official boxing show (Z01) debuts this Friday, January 23rd, Zuffa Boxing presents Z02 on Sunday, February 1st at the Meta Apex in Las Vegas. Headlining will be super lightweights Diego Torres (22-1, 19 KOs) and Jose Valenzuela (14-3, 9 KOs) in a 10 round bout. For his part, Valenzuela is coming off a spirited challenge against Gary Antuanne Russell for the WBA super lightweight title last March. Torres’ only setback was to current IBF lightweight champion Raymond Muratalla (who defends that belt against #1 Andy Cruz this Saturday, January 24th) for Muratalla’s then NABF lightweight title in November 2023.
Two other top flight matches will see former WBC interim super welterweight champ Serhii Bohachuk (26-3, 24 KOs) against former WBA “regular” welterweight champion Radzhab Butaev (16-1, 12 KOs) in a super welterweight bout.
Rounding out the top three fights are former WBC light heavyweight champ Oleksandr Gvozdyk (21-2, 17 KOs) against Radivoje Kalajdzic (29-3, 21 KOs).
