Gervonta “Tank” Davis is currently facing a new arrest warrant issued in January 2026 by Miami Gardens Police for alleged domestic violence involving battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping from an October 2025 incident, with authorities actively seeking him. This follows a separate civil lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend in late 2025 for similar alleged incidents, compounding his history of legal issues, including past domestic battery charges and a 2023 hit-and-run conviction.

The latest charges include battery, false imprisonment, and attempted kidnapping. In the October 2025 incident, Davis allegedly used force to restrain a woman (identified in a lawsuit as ex-girlfriend Courtney Rossel) at a Miami Gardens gentlemen’s club where she worked, preventing her from leaving. Miami Gardens Police issued an arrest warrant and are working with U.S. Marshals to locate Davis. A civil suit was filed by Rossel in late 2025, alleging assault and trauma, seeking compensatory and punitive damages. These legal entanglements scuttled the proposed November 14, 2025, boxing exhibition between Davis and YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul, in Atlanta, Georgia. Davis was reportedly set to earn a guaranteed purse of around $30 to $40 million.

Davis’ legal history has been well documented:

Davis served 90 days of house arrest for a 2020 hit-and-run in Baltimore, involving leaving the scene of an accident with injury, failing to notify of property damage, driving with a revoked license, and running a red light.
Davis has faced multiple previous domestic violence allegations, including incidents in 2020 and 2022, leading to prior arrests and charges.

In Florida, attempted kidnapping is generally a first-degree felony, which is punishable by up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000.
