Jeamie TKV Injured, Fight Rescheduled to Nov. 29
The British Heavyweight Title fight between Frazer Clarke and Jeamie TKV, originally scheduled for Saturday, October 25, has been rescheduled to Saturday, November 29 after Jeamie TKV suffered an injury in training.
The epic British heavyweight title clash will go ahead at the same venue, the Vaillant Live Arena in Derby, and broadcast live on BBC Two and iPlayer.
The new date will allow TKV time to recover and prepare for what promises to be a blockbuster showdown live on primetime BBC television and iPlayer.
Ahead of the main event, ‘Billion Dollar Baby’ Francesca Hennessy, 20, will take on Czechian former world champion, Fabiana Bytyqi, as announced. Undercard fights showcasing the best of British boxing talent also remain unchanged.
BOXXER Founder and CEO Ben Shalom said: “Injuries are part of the sport. While it’s disappointing to reschedule, the safety of our fighters must always come first. Jeamie suffered an injury in training and the medical advice was he can’t compete.
“I’ve spoken to both fighters and of course they’re disappointed but it means there’s an extra edge to the fight on November 29. Frazer feels he’s ready to win right now and is frustrated at having to completely change his training plan. Jeamie will be desperate to prove he’s fighting fit and capable of beating Frazer. They have been quite respectful of each other up to now, but it feels like that’s changing as emotions are running high on both sides.”
