SES Box Gala On November 22nd In Chemnitz

0 5

The next SES Boxing Gala will once again take place in Chemnitz . After the overwhelmingly positive response, the numerous requests for a repeat, and the consistently sold-out first editions of the SES event at the “Kraftverkehr Chemnitz” event location over the past two years, this was an easy decision. Chemnitz not only has an enthusiastic and highly knowledgeable boxing audience, but will now also enrich the SES Boxing Gala on November 22, 2025, with the 31st International Chemnitz Boxing Tournament hosted by BC ” Wölfe” Chemnitz and the Saxony Boxing Association, alongside the professional boxing evening. Kraftverkehr Chemnitz will once again be a very special venue for boxing!

Original quotes from the first press conference at Kraftverkehr Chemnitz:

SES promoter Ulf Steinforth: “We’re betting on Chemnitz! The “Kraftverkehr Chemnitz” is always a dream location for an SES boxing gala. After the extremely positive experiences in recent years, especially due to the special atmosphere, the great mood, the very boxing-enthusiastic audience, and the subsequent party in the VIP area, everything fits together perfectly here. The event location “Kraftverkehr Chemnitz” contributed significantly to this with its professionalism and flexibility. In addition, there is a title fight that is both tough and exciting: the WBO European title is at stake, with the current IBF titleholder Artur Reis facing the reigning WBO champion Mateusz Tryc. A rematch, so to speak, is in order, as Tryc secured the title in May in Potsdam against Nick Hannig in a great fight with a final TKO victory. Artur will move up from super middleweight to light heavyweight for this title fight, allowing him to continue his path to further international success in this weight class. He’s had this promotion in his sights for a while, and his physical attributes mean he has no difficulty switching between the two weight classes! For me, this will be another 50/50 fight, exciting and even highly dramatic. Even before the Hannig fight, I warned about Mateusz Tryc – a truly good boxer with a lot of fighting spirit and the necessary toughness. The people of Chemnitz and all boxing fans can look forward to this “battle.” We’ve also partnered with the boxing Bundesliga club BC Chemnitz, the “Wolves,” and the Saxony Boxing Association to host the 31st International Chemnitz Boxing Tournament in the area. We’ve had a great relationship with Olaf Leib, the co-organizer, for years, and we closely cultivate the connection between Olympic boxing and professional boxing. Chemnitz is simply crazy about boxing, and it’s fitting that ticket sales are already off to a good start!”

Thomas Waldheim, Managing Director of Kraftverkehr Chemnitz: “We are delighted that SES Boxing has chosen our city and thus our event location for the third time. With its high-class fights and such fantastic events, SES has repeatedly thrilled Chemnitz boxing fans and also ignited our enthusiasm for boxing – we’re looking forward to the third time this November!”

The duel of the European champions: Artur Reis, the IBF titleholder, will face the current WBO champion Mateusz Tryc of Poland in a fight for the WBO European light heavyweight championship!

It was a “bloody” fight in May at the SES Boxing anniversary boxing gala in Magdeburg for the IBF Europe title , and it is probably described in the boxing chronicles as a “blood battle.” SES super middleweight Artur Reis knew his physical strengths and those of his strong opponent, Mate Rudan from Croatia. Both boxers entered this fight with corresponding dynamism, which was fought extremely fast and with plenty of “body contact” over the full round distance. Early on, the Croatian suffered two cuts on his head, and the bleeding continued throughout the fight. Thus, Artur Reis, who himself had to endure minor cut injuries, gained the upper hand with his extremely dynamic and uncomfortable boxing style. After ten thrilling rounds, Artur Reis was the clear and unambiguous winner on points and celebrated his IBF title . He is now moving up to light heavyweight and will face WBO European champion Mateusz Tryc. Tryc was able to secure the title in the Potsdam SES Boxing Gala in May against Nick Hannig in a great fight with a final TKO victory. So it will be a kind of revenge, because Tryc stopped the title ambitions of the local hero from Berlin, Nick Hannig, with his technical and somewhat surprising physical abilities. For the 32-year-old Wolfsburg native Artur Reis , this WBO title fight against the strong belt holder Mateusz Tryc is another chance to place himself even higher in the world rankings with a win.

Original quotes from the first press conference at Kraftverkehr Chemnitz:

Artur Reis: “This will certainly be a truly tough and exciting fight with plenty of excitement for boxing fans. I’m a warrior, a true fighter, and I’m facing an opponent who already demonstrated his class and fighting spirit in his fight against Nick Hannig. It’s also a kind of revenge, a rematch, because the WBO belt must return to Germany. I’ve boxed in the light heavyweight division before, so this isn’t a big change for me. So, let’s fight for the European champion in this fight – it will be a tough and uncompromising fight, and that’s exactly my fighting style!”

Mateusz Tryc: “Of course, I was prepared for the rematch with Nick Hannig, but he’s injured now, so now it’s Artur Reis. It’s not difficult for me: new opponent, new tactics, and new fight plans – we’re prepared for everything with Plan A, B, or even C. Artur Reis will come, looking for a tough fight, and I know I can hold my own!”

Dirk Dzemsk – SES Coach: “It’s going to be a tough fight for Artur. But he’s shown in his last two fights what he’s capable of and that he needs these tough challenges. In Chemnitz, I still need a win in a main event – Artur will get that for me!”

Hubert Migaczew, Tryc coach: “We have planned everything meticulously for this duel, we are prepared for all tactical moments – we will win!”

The further fights:

Nuremberg’s Armend Xhoxhaj fights in the cruiserweight division and wants to position himself for a title fight again

SES fighter Armend Xhoxhaj just defeated the “Bosnian Knight” Semir Dautovic by third-round TKO in Aschersleben . Armend Xhoxhaj now aims to clear the path to an international title fight in Chemnitz, thereby quickly placing himself among the top 15 in the cruiserweight rankings of the world federations.

After his third victory in his third professional fight: “Team Germany” heavyweight Michel Dobler wants to successfully contest his fourth professional fight in Chemnitz!

Third fight, third victory! “Team Germany” heavyweight Michel Dobler beat his opponent Timo Grote no chance and dominated with his height of two meters and especially with his “fast legs”. Now, the aspiring high school teacher is set to continue his career in Chemnitz. Renowned boxing experts see Michel Dobler as the outstanding German heavyweight talent. The ambitious “Team Germany” heavyweight fighter aims to live up to these accolades with his own high standards. So, go for Michel !

Back in Saxony: heavyweight Ingolf Zocher meets Lucas Schmitt!
