Allen In Step One Underwear Campaign
British heavyweight boxer Dave Allen has swapped his shorts and gloves for baby oil and briefs as he stars in the latest campaign for sustainable underwear brand Step One. Following a sensational knockout win over Johnny Fisher, Dave is gearing up to face fearsome Russian puncher Aslanbek Makhmudov on October 11 at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield.
But before stepping back into the ring, the Doncaster fan favourite has taken on a different challenge: stepping in front of the camera to model Step One’s range of ultra-comfy, viscose made from bamboo underwear.
Step One’s latest campaign sees Dave in iconic underwear poses made famous by chiselled stars such as David Beckham, Freddie Ljungberg and Cristiano Ronaldo. It also features a tongue-in-cheek mockumentary, which follows ‘The White Rhino’ behind the scenes at his Step One photo
shoot. Speaking about the campaign, Dave Allen said: “Look, I might not have a six-pack – but I’ve got a great sense of humour and I don’t look bad in a pair of pants. Step One makes underwear that fits real people, and I’m about as real as it gets.”
Greg Taylor, Founder & CEO of Step One, said: “At Step One, we’re all about comfort, confidence, and not taking ourselves too seriously. Dave embodies all of that – he’s a genuine, everyday guy, and absolutely hilarious. Who better to show that our underwear really is for every body?”
Step One, the Australian-born brand founded by entrepreneur Greg Taylor in 2017, has revolutionized innerwear with its focus on sustainability and superior comfort. Specializing in men’s and women’s underwear made from organically grown viscose made from bamboo, the label features
anti-chafe technology, sweat-wicking properties, and UltraGlyde panels to prevent ride-up – ensuring all-day freshness and confidence, which is perfect not only just for sport but for everyday life.
