Teiken Promotions announced a sensational encounter of WBC#1 Tenshin Nasukawa (7-0, 2 KOs) and WBC#2 Takuma Inoue (20-2, 5 KOs) for the vacant WBC bantamweight belt in Tokyo on November 24. Unbeaten WBC, IBF ex-champ Junto Nakatani had renounced both titles to move up to the 122lb category to have an ambitious shot at the undisputed super bantam titleholder Naoya Inoue next May.
Tenshin, formerly a kick-boxing star, steadily moved up to the top rank of the international style fighting since his debut in April 2023. Takuma, the brother of “Monster” Naoya, had become WBC interim and WBA titlist, but forfeited his WBA belt to Seiya Tsutsumi in October last year. It will be a mouth-watering competitive matchup for Japanese fight fans. It will take place at the newly opened Toyota Arena Tokyo, the capacity of which is reportedly 10,000. We wish to watch the brand-new arena as well as the competitive matchup of the brightening speedsters.
