Star Boxing’s RF51 This Saturday At The Paramount
This Saturday, September 20th, Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing brings the action back to The Paramount with Rockin’ Fights 51, showcasing three undefeated crowd-pleasers — Brooklyn’s Junior Younan, Italian-American sensation Micky Scala, and Elmont’s Irish warrior Zay “No Choice” Flaherty. On top of all that, for the first time ever, live Muay Thai championship bouts are on the undercard.
Tickets are still available for what promises to be another unforgettable night at Long Island’s iconic fight venue.
Rockin’ Fights 51 Featured Fights:
Brooklyn’s own Junior Younan (21-0-1, 13KO) headlines Rockin’ Fights 51 on September 20th at The Paramount. Fresh off back-to-back knockout wins in Huntington, Younan will defend his WBA Continental Americas Championship as he continues his march toward the world stage. With the Super-Middleweight division in the spotlight — highlighted by Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford’s clash this past Saturday that drew over 47 million viewers on Netflix and 70,000 fans at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas — Younan is determined to make his case for a shot at the elite.
Younan puts his unbeaten record and WBA Continental Americas title on the line against Croatia’s heavy-handed Luka Lozo. With 12 knockouts in 13 wins, Lozo brings real danger, making this a true test as Younan eyes the world stage.
The rest of the card promises fireworks, showcasing Paramount fan favorites and some of Star Boxing’s brightest young stars:
• Micky Scala (12-0, 6KO): The undefeated Italian-American prospect from Mesa, AZ, by way of Brooklyn, NY, brings that “dawg” mentality every time he steps in the ring, thriving in gritty battles that fans can’t get enough of. Scala looks to keep his undefeated streak alive against seasoned 14 fight Uruguayan veteran Jose Perdomo, who brings international experience and toughness into the ring
• Zay “No Choice” Flaherty (8-0, 4KO): A local favorite from Long Island’s Elmont, NY, Flaherty’s relentless pressure and fight-ending power have made him a must-watch. Expect more fireworks on fight night. Flaherty squares off with San Antonio’s Javier Vargas (6-2-1, 3KO) in what promises to be an all-action clash. With both fighters known for aggressive styles, fans can expect fireworks from the opening bell.
• Muay Thai Championship Action: For the first time ever at The Paramount, Rockin’ Fights will showcase Muay Thai as part of the undercard. Reigning WCMT Super Welterweight Champion Eric Quirinale (Weapons 9 Gym) defends his title against challenger Patrick Calderon in a high-stakes showdown. Quirinale, just 23 years old with over 30 fights, is known for his fearless style and relentless work ethic, while Calderon, a fast-rising talent since 2020, sees this opportunity as his path toward a future world title. The Muay Thai bouts are presented by Star Boxing in association with Warriors Cup.
With Younan chasing greatness, and a stacked lineup of hungry undefeated prospects, Star Boxing’s Rockin’ Fights 51 is set to deliver another unforgettable night at The Paramount NY.
Launched in 2011 by promoter Joe DeGuardia’s Star Boxing, the Rockin’ Fights series has become one of the premier platforms for rising stars and future champions, establishing The Paramount NY as a true hotbed for world-class boxing. With 50 shows already in the books, the series continues to deliver electric nights of action while building the next generation of boxing talent.
