Abass Baraou Celebrated Oberhausen At City Hall
HONOR IN HIS HOMETOWN: ABASS BARAOU SIGNS HIS OWN GOLDEN BOOK OF THE CITY OF OBERHAUSEN
Two and a half weeks after his victory in the fight for the interim WBA light middleweight title, Abass Baraou was invited to the town hall of his hometown of Oberhausen by Mayor Daniel Schranz today for his outstanding sporting performance and was allowed to sign the city’s Golden Book during a celebratory reception.
“It’s a tremendous honor for me to sign the Golden Book of the City of Oberhausen today. I was thrilled to receive the invitation from Mayor Daniel Schranz and the city’s support. I grew up here and learned to dream in Oberhausen. That makes being here today very special. It’s always nice to come back to my hometown.”
