Dzambekov – Brusov Headline At Chumash Casino

Undefeated Light Heavyweight Powerhouse Umar Dzambekov, (12-0, 8 KOs), of Los Angeles, CA battles Hard-Hitting Artem Brusov, (13-1, 12 KOs), of Fort Lauderdale, FL in the ten-round main event  on Friday, October 3 at Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, CA.

 

Dzambekov vs. Brusov headlines another stellar Hollywood Fight Nights event promoted by Tom Loeffler’s 360 Promotions and broadcast globally on UFC FIGHT PASS®the world’s leading digital subscription service for combat sports.

A native of Vienna, Austria now training with Marvin Somodio out of the World-Famous Wild Card Boxing Gym in Hollywood, FL, the 27-year-old Umar Dzambekov returns to the ring for the third time in 2025. Most recently he dominated former world title challenger Roamer Angulo over eight rounds on June 21, 2025. The southpaw kicked off the year with a stunning first round knockout of Sonny McEwen(11-1), on April 19.

 

Artem Brusov, originally from Tambor, Russia faces off against Dzambekov following a first-round knockout of Wilson Santana on May 27, 2023 in the Dominican Republic. Fighting for the first time in California, this will be Brusov’s fifth bout in the United States.

 

Co-featured on October 3, fast-rising super flyweight Daniel ‘Chucky’ Barrera, (9-1-1 4 KOs), of Eastvale, CA looks to continue his ascent against battle-tested veteran ‘Mighty’ Mario Hernandez, (13-6-1, 4 KOs), of Santa Ana, CA in a scheduled eight-rounder. The 23-year-old, all-action Barrera is coming off an eight-round decision on June 21, 2025 over Basilio Franco. Hernandez looks to stay in the win column, victorious over undefeated prospect Jesus Martinez (9-0-1), on June 7, 2025 in San Antonio, TX.

 

Fighting in a scheduled eight-round super lightweight clash, popular Sacramento, CA native ‘Sugar’ Cain Sandoval, (16-0, 14 KOs), clashes with Jino ‘The Silent Beast’ Rodrigo, (13-5-2, 11 KOs), of Metro Manila, Philippines. Sandoval has scored two show-stopping knockouts in 2025; a fourth-round stoppage of perennial contender Mark Bernaldez on February 21 followed by a second-round knockout of Jonathan Jose Eniz on June 21. The upset-minded Rodrigo battled over eight hotly contested rounds on April 19, 2025 against Ruslan Abdullaev.

 

Highly touted female sensation ‘Right Hook’ Roxy Verduzco, (5-0, 1 KOs), of Los Angeles, CA faces off against Mexican veteran Perla ‘La Princesa’ Lomeli, (7-5, 1KOs), in the super bantamweight division over eight rounds. The 23-year-old Verduzco will be fighting for the fourth time in 2025 with prior victories this year coming against Celene Roman, Jessica Maltez and Lindsey Ellis. Very active against top competition, Lomeli seeks a return to the win column after a six-round decision against Shannel Butler on August 9, 2025.

 

Competing in the super welterweight division over ten scheduled rounds, undefeated contender Sadriddin Akhmedov, (15-0-1, 13 KOs), of Big Bear, CA faces Mexico knockout artist Edgardo ‘Zurdo’ Velazquez, (16-2, 16 KOs), of Tijuana. Trained by the world-renowned Abel Sanchez, Akhmedov, a native of Astana, Kazakhstan returns to battle following a hard-fought, ten-round majority draw against Elias Espadas on April 19, 2025. Riding a four-fight knockout streak, Velazquez looks for a return to his winning ways after an eight-round heated battle against Jose de Jesus Adama Chio on August 17, 2024 in Mexico City.

 

Rounding out the UFC Fight Pass broadcast, 20-year-old super bantamweight Angel ‘Apocalipto’ Carrillo, (5-0, 2 KOs), of Oxnard, CA looks to stay undefeated against an opponent to be announced in a scheduled six rounder.

 

Fighting in the UFC Fight Pass YouTube prelims, 19-year-old Diego Aviles Parra, (4-0, 4 KOs), looks to stay perfect in the super flyweight division while Mario Zamora of Port Hueneme, CA makes his pro debut in the super featherweight division. Opposition for both four rounders will be announced shortly.
