AGON’s Mega Boxing Event: September 12
More Fighters Confirmed for Uber Eats Music Hall Show In Berlin
Boxing fans at the Uber Eats Music Hall on September 12th can look forward to title fights between Berlin local heroes Hamsat Shadalov and Paul Wall, as well as international stars like Árlen Lopez and Lázaro Álvarez. Up-and-coming talents will also step into the spotlight. Three promising boxers will contest their fights on the undercard of the AGON Sports Event in Berlin.
Assan Hansen, who has frequently been invited to spar with AGON, is making his professional debut in a four-round super lightweight bout. The 25-year-old can look back on an impressive amateur career with over 100 fights and multiple German championship titles. Hansen has been in the ring since he was eleven years old – now he wants to make a splash among the pros.
Yusnier Sorsano Ruiz, an exceptional Cuban talent and new signing at AGON Sports, makes his professional debut in the six-round super welterweight division. The 22-year-old is considered one of the brightest talents in Cuban boxing. With his explosive style and technical finesse, he aims to take the first step of his professional career in Berlin.
Also newly signed to AGON is Malek Semmo (21), four-time German amateur champion. After a successful professional debut in February at the AGON event with Felix Sturm in the main event, the middleweight now enters the ring for his second professional fight over six rounds. Semmo brings not only boxing talent to the table. He also has strong support outside the ring: rapper Majoe will be accompanying him in Berlin.
“Our undercard is all about the future. Assan Hansen, Yusnier Sorsano Ruiz, and Malek Semmo are boxers with enormous potential who can be developed over the long term. We are convinced they will thrill the audience,” says AGON promoter Ingo Volckmann. With these three fighters, AGON Sports once again underscores its commitment to giving young talent a major platform and supporting them on their path to the international top.
The evening’s main event features Berlin-based super featherweight Hamsat Shadalov. Against undefeated Spaniard Alex de la Rosa, the “Chechen Borz” will challenge for another WBA international title. His childhood friend and training partner Paul Wall will also fight Hamburg’s Antonio Fechner for the German championship. Arlen López and Lázaro Álvarez, two highly decorated Cuban Olympic heroes from the AGON stable, will also be coming to Berlin.
