Boyle Heights, California’s undefeated top rated featherweight Omar ‘The King of LA’, Trinidad, (19-0-1, 13 KOs) is back in action this Friday night as he takes on the hard-hitting Lorenzo Parra, (23-1, 17 KOs), of Venezuela. Trinidad headlines Tom Loeffler’s 360 Promotions Hollywood Fight Nights series at the Chumash Casino Resort in Santa Ynez, California live on UFC Fight Pass.

“I’m excited to be back, I’m coming for the victory and make a statement for my people,” Omar Trinidad said on his upcoming fight.

The King of LA has conquered the Southern California circuit. Making his professional debut and beginning his career in Tijuana, Mexico, Trinidad followed by selling out the ballroom multiple times at Quiet Cannon in Montebello and made his New York debut at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. So far Trinidad has sold out the Commerce Casino Events Center in Commerce just 5 miles southeast of his hometown of Boyle Heights as he takes his fan base 2 hours north to Chumash.

“My fan base is huge and continues to grow with each fight which I’m very grateful for them and look forward to putting on great show and getting the victory,” Trinidad said.

Having had a productive year so far as he defeated veteran Mike Plania by going the distance earning a unanimous decision early this year to begin his 2025 campaign. Trinidad is coming off a unanimous decision over Alexander Espinoza.

“This is my third fight this year and I love staying active which 360 Promotions does a great job of. As soon as my last fight was over in May I knew my next fight date immediately,”

Trinidad now gets set to take on the slugger Parra as the Venezuelan is coming off a split decision over Javon Woordard Jr.

“This is another tough challenge for me with Lorenzo Parra, he’s clearly in great shape for this fight and will be ready,” Trinidad on his opponent Lorenzo Parra.

It’s only a matter of time for the undefeated Trinidad as he looks for his 20th victory. Ranked in the top ten by all four sanctioning bodies in the 126-pound division, Trinidad is rated #2 by the IBF, 4th by the WBC, 6th by the WBO and 10th by the WBA.

“I’m ready to fight any of the world champions right now. Being ranked by all four sanctioning bodies puts me in line,” Trinidad stated.

Champions that Trinidad is hunting for include IBF world champion Angelo Leo of New Mexico, WBA champion Nick Ball of England, WBC champion Stephen Fulton, WBC interim Bruce Carrington, and WBO champion Rafael Espinoza of Mexico. Other notables at featherweight include former world champions Brandon Figueroa, Robeisy Ramirez, and Luis Nery. As well as undefeated contenders David Picasso of Mexico, Japan’s Mikito Nakano.

“Hopefully I’ll fight for a world title soon, I know I can beat these guys.” Trinidad said. “The fight I would love is with Angelo Leo. That’s the fight I want,” Trinidad added.

Looking to score victory, Trinidad looks to make a statement and move on to the next level of competition. A win Saturday night will make Trinidad’s case as a top ten in the division and perhaps fight a notable name later this year, catapulting him to a world title shot next year.

“I’ll make everyone proud on August 15 and show why I’m the King of LA,” Trinidad concluded.
