IBF 108-pound champion Thanongsak Simsri (40-1, 35 KOs), 107.75, a Japan-based Thailander, very impressively scored his first defense when he swarmed over hitherto unbeaten Mexican IBF#1 Sergio Mendoza Cordova (27-1, 23 KOs), 107.5, dropped the taller southpaw twice and finished him for the count at 2:32 of the second round in a scheduled twelve on Monday at Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan.
