Unheralded Gerome Warburton upset Nathan Heaney to win the WBA Continental middleweight title in the co-main event of Itauma-Franklin Jr. After a slow start, Warburton got going with his movement and combination punching, never allowing Heaney to catch up to him. Warburton won going away by scores of 98-92 and 97-93 twice to improve to 17-2-2, 2 KOs. Heaney falls to 19-2-1, 6 KOs.
