Jangirov Retains BBU Title

Fighting in front of a packed out house at Safiren Konferenscenter, Katrineholm, Sweden, BBU cruiser champ Samo Jangirov (11-6-3) retained the title with a unanimous decision over Estonian challenger Madis Hiiet (3-3). After eight even rounds it was scored 78-74, 79-73 and 77-75 for the champion.
Jangirov, a short, stocky brawler, applied pressure while Hiiet, much taller, tried to use his reach and had some success but overall he didn’t work enough.
