Hola ladies,

Throughout the entire week, the east wind—Poniente—was blowing and brought noticeable humidity with it. Especially in the mornings, it was oppressively muggy and hot, and the grass felt as damp as after a heavy rain shower. Without waterproof golf shoes, it was hardly possible to finish the round with dry feet.

noticeable humidity with it. Especially in the mornings, it was oppressively muggy and hot, and the grass felt as damp as after a heavy rain shower. Without waterproof golf shoes, it was hardly possible to finish the round with dry feet.

A special highlight took place on Friday: the “Nine & Dine” charity tournament, where 62 players participated with enthusiasm and generosity. A heartfelt thank-you goes to our generous sponsor Cornelia Busch, who not only organized the event but also ensured that every cent raised was donated to the Centro Contigo charity project. After the tournament, we had another competition – a putting contest. Many raffle tickets were also sold for the wonderful prizes, which were kindly donated by Cornelia.

From the raffle and putting competition, we were able to raise €2,900, and from green fees an additional €3,100 – making a grand total of €6,000.

On behalf of Cornelia, I would like to thank all our members who took part, our President Stephen, Alicia and Fatima, for their wonderful support of this event.

Works for this week:

  • Pretty much preparing all the tournaments of this week
  • Keep working on the jobs of hole 12th and 13th holes
  • And spray some fertilice on the bermuda

I am happy to announce  that work has begun on the right side of the 12th green – and we couldn’t be happier!
They’re planting grass there, which should save us from countless OB dramas… and maybe even a few lost balls and tempers.
