Lady Captain’s Weekly News 12th May 2025
Dear Ladies,
After the excitement of the Club Championship, the following week felt relatively calm. It was a welcome chance to relax a little, reflect on the great moments we shared, and recharge before the next events in our calendar.
Last week, we played our two Midweek Competitions, followed by the Ranking event on Saturday. It was a enjoyable week of golf, with great participation and strong performances all around.
The weather is finally shifting toward summer, with less rain and more of the sunshine we’ve all been longing for here in Spain. After a rather wet and unpredictable spring, it’s a joy to feel the warmth returning, the skies clearing, and the days getting longer. It’s the perfect time to enjoy being outdoors, both on and off the golf course!
The week of May 12th to May 18th is dedicated to major maintenance work on the Old Course — you’ve probably already read the email from our director of agronomy, Borja. During this time, we’ll be playing our non-federated competitions on the New Course.
Many of you have traveled home or are enjoying a well-deserved vacation after the Club Championship. A group of our gentlemen members even flew to Ireland to play golf for the week.
Wherever you are — have a fantastic time and enjoy!
Off the course, Tammy, together with her daughter Alicia, organized a lovely and fun makeup workshop for our ladies. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn new beauty tips, share laughs, and enjoy some relaxed time together. A big thank you to both for bringing their passion and energy —
it was a great success and very much appreciated by all!
