Lady Captain’s Weekly News 3rd March 2025

Thank you, Svetlana for looking after all the ladies whilst I was away. There seems to be a gradual trickle of members coming back from various places.

The weather was kind to us golfers until Friday when the long- predicted rain arrived in abundance – thank goodness we moved

Andalusia Day to Thursday. As a result, all competitions were cancelled over the weekend. Cancelling events is always a tough decision, but not hard this time. Some members did manage to play on Saturday afternoon. You will see from the photos below that the course took another battering. Borja and his team are being kept very busy.

Tuesday 25th February 7 Ladies plus Irene

2nd Anne Middlehurst 34 points

There were only 7 ladies so just two prizes but couldn’t resist letting Irene take control .Such fun having her back – I think she has missed us.

it was a tough one as most of the ladies were in green and white – anyway I haven’t seen Heidi for a while so why not !! Svetlana had a great day coming away with most of the goodies!!

ANDALUSIA DAY – Continued

The prizes for the day were typical Andalusian produce – Jamon, Olive Oil, Dulce Wines & Sherry and lots more. We were all treated to a mini goody bag on arrival..

MAINTENANCE WORKS

This week due to the weather conditions, greenkeeping will mainly focus on cleaning the course and collecting the mulch. If possible, they will also fertilize the greens.
