Lady Captain´s Weekly News

Buenos días desde la soleada y calurosa España . Good morning from sunny and hot Spain . Another busy week of glorious sunshine.  

A welcome change from the hairdryer winds of late. Last week I was in charge because Nicky  has had a well-deserved week off and spent the days with her family in England  13 of us played on Tuesday. As it was very hot, we had a few Ladies  who had to stop because of the heat. The temperatures are approaching  38 degrees. 

Luckily on Thursday it was a bit cloudy and all 38 players were able to  finish the mixed tournament.  Fantastic first Nine & Dine with 43 Players we had on Friday and finally  July Medal.

On Sunday, the July monthly Medal was played from the 56 tees

13 of us played. The conditions were very difficult, we had to contend
with wind, sun and heat. We tee’d off from wrong tees and made a lot
of bunker shots, we were all over the place, but we did it and
everyone got in uninjured, we didn’t lose anyone.
Well done to everyone.

Maintenance works this week:
* Verticutting bermuda grass at the entrance of fairways on Tuesday.
* Also on Tuesday they will treat moss on greens.
* General maintenance works.
