On the way to the podium the Belarusian defeated Armenia's Hovhannes Maghakyan 10-0 but lost to Russia's Shamil Sharipov 2-13. In the bronze medal bout Dzianis Khramiankov solved Aleksander Khotsianivski of Ukraine 6-5.
