Volleyball BC Official Statement – April 10th, 2025

Volleyball BC is committed to promoting and facilitating positive volleyball experiences that are safe for all participants.

As the governing body for volleyball in BC, we have a comprehensive set of standards that all registered clubs and programs must comply with to prioritize safe sport.

All registered coaches with Volleyball BC are required to adhere to our Code of Conduct and Ethics and complete a Persons In Authority Check that includes a Criminal Record Check, Screening Disclosure Form, and completion of the Coaching Association of Canada’s Safe Sport training module.

We understand that a volleyball coach is under investigation in North Vancouver. We have reached out to the RCMP for more information.

At this time, we are not aware of any connection to our organization.

We will notify our members if this situation changes.
