[Volleyball] One Spot Remains in Postseason Tournament

Five of the six playoff berths in the California Pacific Conference Championship are filled, and with two matches remaining in the final week of the regular season, La Sierra (9-9 in the Cal Pac) needs a win in either of its final pairings to secure the final berth.  The Golden Eagles close out the regular season on the road at Saint Katherine and at home against Providence Christian.  UC Merced (7-11) still has a chance to claim that sixth and final slot by sweeping its final two matches—home against Simpson and at Pacific Union—but would need to have LSU lose twice create a tie at 9-11.  The two teams split their regular season matches, and the Bobcats own a head-to-head tie-breaker edge over the Golden Eagles (5-4 sets won). The Cal Pac Championship tournament will begin on Thursday, March 10, at Saint Katherine in San Marcos, Calif.
