[Men's Volleyball] SXU Wins Five-Set Thriller to Advance to CCAC Championship

CHICAGO – Trailing 2-1 heading into the fourth set, the No. 1 seed and No. 12 ranked Saint Xavier University men's volleyball team (25-9/13-0 CCAC) rallied back to win in five sets (25-17, 19-25, 25-27, 25-20, 15-7) to defeat No. 5 seed Trinity Christian College (Ill.) in the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) Men's Volleyball Tournament Friday evening at the Shannon Center in Chicago, Ill. The win puts SXU in the CCAC Tournament Championship for the second straight season and the third time in four seasons. They will play No. 2 seed Judson University (Ill.), who also won in five sets over No. 3 seed Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) prior to the Cougars' match.
