[Volleyball] SSU falls in straight sets to Martin Methodist

The volleyball program at Shawnee State wasn't able to capitalize on its early momentum as the Bears fell in straight sets to Martin Methodist, 3-0, Thursday evening in Pulaski, Tenn. in a Mid-South Conference matchup held inside the Ronald E. Curry Christian Life Center.
Shawnee State, who fell behind 5-0 in the opening set, went on a 9-2 run to take a 9-7 lead, with Macie Rhoads supplying two of the kills during the stretch and Bethany Colling adding another spike in the spurt. A 10-3 MMU answer, however, cost the Bears in the opening set and from there on, the match was controlled by Martin Methodist in the victory. Rhoads led the offensive attack with six kills for the contest.
