As college and high school volleyball returns, a pro league emerges

A women's professional volleyball league will make its debut Saturday under the Athletes Unlimited umbrella.
The league will be played in Dallas through March 29. Athletes Unlimited has landed broadcast agreements with CBS Sports Network and Fox Sports. The matches will also be streamed on Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Dailymotion and Twitch.
It’s a big step forward in a sport that’s seeing a popularity surge in the northeast. And who better to talk to about the state of volleyball than two members of the Capital Region’s premier volleyball family: the Bynons of Burnt Hills High School.
